Laser Etching
At Hands On Imaging, we specialize in etching artwork onto a variety of materials. The lily example shown here is an antique fruit box label etched onto glass. The glass, after etching, has been painted resulting in a delicate stained glass effect.
By using different techniques on a variety of media the same picture can have astoundingly different results. Glass, in addition to many other materials, is suitable for etching. Alternative materials include granite, glass, marble, acrylic, and wood. Artwork can come from a variety of sources and include but are not limited to photographs, line art, logos, etc.
The completed etched images have a variety of uses. Etched artwork may be framed and hung on a wall or in a window, or may be mounted directly onto a floor or wall as a mural or back splash. Color may be added to any piece. The images are durable and will resist fading.
